TORI GOT BAPTIZED WOOWOOWOO!!! Oh my goodness I am so happy
for her! Everything went so well and all of her family came to support! They
all came for her confirmation on Sunday as well! The spirit was SO strong. I am grateful I was able to be a part of her learning process and that I was able
to see how she changed and grew as a daughter of God.
Sofia came to Tori's baptism as well! She also attended church and mutual again. ok, wait pause, We went to mutual with her and they were making homemade ice cream like hand cranking it in a bucket!? It was soooooo good. Then we played a game called curses and you guys every time the bell rang I had to 1.tell whoever rang it that i loved them 2. While intensely crying 3. In a French accent (i had to say everything in a French accent lol) ok back to it. We got to have another lesson with her! She said she has prayed about the book of Mormon, and feels good about it. We helped explain that that is the Holy Ghost telling her it is true. I know that no matter what, if you ask Heavenly Father in faith, with real intent, you will receive and answer that the book of Mormon is true by the power of the Holy Ghost. Try it!
We also had a lesson with Jess at a members home. We talked about earth life and why we are here, why we receive trials, and how we over come them. We also did a fun object lesson about prioritizing life. (We had a Jar with big rocks, which are the important things, and rice which is the fun stuff, not anything bad just fun stuff. If you put the fun stuff in the jar first the big important things cant fit, scriptures, praying, family ect. But if you put the important things first, then the fun stuff, it all magically fits!) Then after the lesson we played a round of Mexican train. Oh funny story. Jess has a baby named Jonathan and he is the cutest ever. I got to sit next to Jess and Jonathan and naturally he wants the dominoes but cant have them. We were trying to distract him in anyway and nothing was working. He was on a mission to get those dominoes. I grabbed a water bottle and made it look like it disappeared and his face was the funniest thing you could ever imagine lolol his eyes got so wide and he fell back on the table he didn't know what to do haha. Random fact I forgot to mention. Jess also came to church and sang in the choir!
Linda is officially on date for baptism September 28th! She believes that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the book of Mormon is true. She has unshaken faith! It is amazing to see all of these people change as they learn and accept the gospel! They are so happy!
We also had interviews with president this week. I love president Nygaard and Sister Nygaard. They are so sweet! We were able to practice the song we are singing with them. Oh yeah Haha by the way we are singing in a mission choir on Saturday because Elder Neil L. Andersen is coming to speak to us AGAIN!? What!? I'm so stoked!
The last main event that happened this week was district council. I loved it. We talked about Christlike attributes (faith, hope, charity, knowledge, patience, ect.). We discussed different scripture stories and how the people in them showed certain attributes. Then as a district we decided which attributes we wanted to work on the most. I am excited to see how this works and how heavenly father tests us as we strive to obtain these attributes.
Sorry today's email is super short and all over the the place Haha. Love you!
