Ya... ok SO there is this little burger shop in Baker city
called Burger Bob's. It's super cute and super good but I'm also biased because
missionaries eat free 🤷️
Haha. For many years missionaries have been doing
what's called Burger Bob's half gallon milkshake challenge and since it's been going on
for years, you cant just not do it right? So I did it with some of our district!
Anddddd ...I'm still working on it... its fine...
If you finish it within 20 minutes it's a win
If you don't finish it its a "... I'm still working on
it...."
If you finish under 20 minutes but bring it back up where it
came from... #fail
None of us got a #fail but I am super upset because one of
the elders drank it in 4 minutes 22 seconds HOW!? I had less than half left but
I just couldn't do it.
None of us could eat anything for a good while and it
definitely took us a long time to eat any dairy again Haha
After that we had a lesson with Tori! She is AMAZING and
doing so good! She remembered the whole plan of Salvation. We also helped her
study one of her tests in school she is one smart cookie.
Then we had mutual after that. Where we played Pictionary
and all the religious questions they just looked at us 😂
but we let them figure those ones out haha
We were gonna go potato gleaming the next morning for
service but the fields got rained out so we couldn't go but instead, we went to the
stake Relief Society activity! We saw everyone who was always too far away to
visit so it was awesome! For the activity there were different rotation classes like a survival class, cooking class, organization class, come follow
me class, and a sewing class! In the survival class she told us how to cook and
prepare bugs.... she keeps bugs in her freezer and eats them.... we thought she
was crazy but she made foods for us to sample...ant brownie, worm bread,
and elder berry jelly. There was 3 samples to take home so we are going to play
a version of Russian Roulette and we will pick one and spin a bottle and
whoever it lands on has to eat it... Haha
We also got to had a lunch lesson with Joni. She made us
Turkey noodle soup! We talked about general conference and she is so excited to
hear the words of a prophet and so are we!
Speaking of words of a prophet did yall check out the young
adult devotional President Nelson gave!? WOW amazing!!! I would encourage all
to watch it!
With General Conference coming up I want to share a
scripture with you! It's in 1 Nephi 10: 18,19
18 For he is the same yesterday, today, and forever; and the
way is prepared for all men from the foundation of the world, if it so be that
they repent and come unto him.
19 For he that diligently seeketh shall find; and the
mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost,
as well in these times as in times of old, and as well in times of old as in
times to come; wherefore, the course of the Lord is one eternal round.
God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He called
prophets before because of His love for us. It brings me comfort because He has
not left us alone today. He called a prophet for us too! If you are diligently
seeking for answers to questions or guidance in your life, you will find the
answers through Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. He has not
left us alone. He loves us, each of us, with a pure love exceeding beyond what
you can even imagine. Please take the time and ponder how you can prepare to
hear the words of the prophet of God and His apostles. I love you all!
Love,
Sister Bailey :)
